About 6 months after owning it, the lock is completely froze up. Can't cut the darn thing off without cutting my safety chain hook up off either

That is not good to hear at all! I have a couple of tips and tricks you can try. WD-40, a de-icer, or Graphite Spray are lubricants that keep water out of locks to prevent freezing. You could also smear some petroleum jelly on the lock, it works the same as WD-40 or the graphite spray. Since the lock is already frozen, you could dip your key into some hand sanitizer. The alcohol from the hand sanitizer should melt the ice after you wiggle it around a bit. Try some of these out and let me know how it works for you and we can go from there.

Would’ve been a great little lock had it actually fit in the housing. Too short for mine. Turns out my housing is 3”, not 2”. My bad. Paid $25 for it, etrailer wants $17 for return shipping fee? Pretty lame. So buyer beware, measure your housing first!

by:

Works as advertised. I have a Tesla Y and this is the only one that will fit it the small space provided.

by:

I really like this receiver lock and have 3 of this model in total. The machined finish of the lock bar and the locking mechanism with dust cap are well made. The blue (and red on my other hitch lock) accent color is a nice touch.

by:

Really good and cool looking hitch lock, service from trailer is always excellent, have purchased several products for my vehicles there, always great quality and superb costumer service..

by:

This hitch is very well made and very heavy. very good product

by:

Solid gear. Well constructed. Easy & convenient security for hitch cover / ball assembly. Look forward to many years of reliable use.

by:

Works flawlessly

by:

Exactly what I needed for my 2014 Jeep Wrangler! Fits perfectly and does not interfere with the light connector.

by:

Great service from e-trailer. These people are on top of things.

by:

Great alternative for a trailer hitch lock for my 2016 Yukon because of GM's lack of spacing between receiver and seven pin plug to use my lock that had key entering from the horizontal direction.

Still performing as expected. Quality product.

by:

In addition to the hitch and bike rack, a Kuat, I purchased this extremely sturdy lock. It’s thicker than the one which came with the rack, but still has no problem being threaded through the hitch and rack, and adds stability, besides security.

by:

Love the product, the service and the very personal touch from etrailer.com! Great to deal with and an overall great experience so far! The lock was for my hitch extender which is also perfect?

Easy to use, works as advertised. I use this to lock my bike rack onto my Subaru Crosstrek and its easy to lock and unlock.

Still clicking along after a year of use. No issues.

Love the products, love the support, love the videos and resources for using these. Couldn't be happier with your company, except ONE THING: Shipping.
In ordering two hitches (got one for a friend) both came with the hitches bursting through the cardboard box.
While there was no damage to either (it's steel!) In the second shipment, the including lock pin set got so rattled the boxed set came apart, and the keys literally fell out of the MAIN box during shipping.
Looking at some other customer reviews, this is NOT uncommon.
I understand saving some money on shipping - but your shipping department needs to pack smaller items in a more secure manner within these huge boxes.
It also wouldn't hurt to use some styrofoam on the edges of the hitches that are prone to puncture the boxes, causing an egress point for the smaller insecure items in the box to be lost. Just MHO.

by:

It just plain works, however due to the right angle locking design it is a little awkward to get the lock head on while you are holding the key in the spinning lock head and at the same time holding the pin in with you other hand as you put pressure on the pin while you are pushing on the locking head AND turning the key while the lock hesd wants to spin...mine will not press on and lock without the key in and turned..3 handed monkey operation

by:

Great product! Solid and sturdy construction, exactly as described. Also, fast processing and shipping! Great company with great products.

by:

Works great, no issues. This lock makes it easy to access the keyhole. Our previous straight lock took two people and some tricky hand positions to get the key inserted, because of the tight spacing around the hitch reciever and electrical trailer connector on the back of our Audi Q7. I'd recommend this to anyone with a cramped setup around their hitch.

by:

I like the fact that I now only need to carry 1 key set to open two of these locks; but it's a little short to use on my 2014 Toyota Tacoma -- is just won't lock because the shank is about 2-3mm shorter than what I need. Now I have an extra 2" hitch lock that I can't use for what I purchased it for.

This lock will not work with some factory 2 trailer hitches that have an outside width wider than 2-3/4. Toyota OEM trailer hitches have that extra piece on the outside of the hitch and they require a different, longer locking hitch pin such part #1469DAT.

  • Distance from Center of Hitch Pin Hole to Each Bike on the Reese 3-Bike Rack 63123
The manufacturer does not provide these specs so I went out to our warehouse and measured the 3 Bike Hitch Mount Folding Rack w/ Rotating Shank part # 63123 for you. While using this bike rack with the 2" stinger, the distance from the center on the hitch pin hole to the center of the first cradle is 18-1/2", 24" for the middle cradle, and 29-1/2" for the last cradle (furthest away from the vehicle). While using the bike rack with the 1-1/4" stinger the above measurements will need to be...

To determine the size of the receiver lock you will need you need to determine the size (see link below) of the receiver on your vehicle and you also need to measure the overall width of the outside of the receiver at the hitch pin hole. If you have a class I or class II receiver you will need a 1-1/4 inch receiver lock and if you have a class III receiver or larger you will need a 2 inch receiver, then you need to make sure the inside width of the receiver lock is at least as wide as the...

Because of the large span required to secure the ball mount of the B&W Tow and Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS10048B, the Master Lock Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # 1480DAT will not work to secure the ball mount to the shank. • Will Master Lock Hitch Lock # 1469DAT Fit Factory Trailer Hitch on 2008 Toyota Sequoia
The Master Lock locking hitch pin # 1469DAT is likely going to fit your 2008 Toyota Sequoia with factory installed trailer hitch. This lock is designed for 2-1/2 inch hitches so it is very long, the inside span that actually goes through the receiver is 3-1/4 inches long. Measure the width of your receiver on the outside (from pin to pin hole) and if less than 3-1/4 inches long it will fit. You likely have a 2 inch trailer hitch. If so then pin # 1480DAT would be a better fit. It has a...

The pin and clip is part number # PC3 and will fit 2 and 2-1/2 inch receiver hitches. For 1-1/4 inch receivers the hitch pin and clip # PC2 and hitch receiver lock # e98880 would work great.
